In Coming Together II, bold, sweeping forms create a sense of movement and connection. The interplay of transparent glazes and expressive marks allows earlier decisions to remain visible, enriching the complexity. The multi-layered surface rewards closer viewing as subtle details continue to emerge over time.
This series grew out of an intensive focus centered on experimentation, intuition, and discovery. Working in successive layers of transparent glazes, I explored the possibilities of expressive mark making while allowing color to become an active force in shaping each composition. Rather than working toward a predetermined image, I allowed each painting to evolve through observation, response, and refinement, resulting in compositions that feel both spontaneous and thoughtfully resolved.
